Crêpes' recipe
So let's start the blog by sharing some really good french culinar specialities. Today, it is gonna be crêpes (like a pancake, but thinner and better lol).
You need:
350 grammes (2 cups 1/3) of flour
50 grammes (1/3 cup) of sugar
1 tea spoon of baking powder
1 tea spoon of vanilla sugar
1/2 litre de lait (17 fl oz)
1/4 litre d'eau (8.5 fl oz)
50 grammes (1/5 cup) of melted butter
4 eggs
A pinch of salt
Mix everything and then leave apart for at least one hour. Before each crêpe put a little bit of butter in your pan to grease it. By trying on the first ones, find the right amount to put in the pan to get a thin crêpe. When the first side is enough cooked, turn it over on the other one. When the crêpe is ready you can put on it whatever you want (maple syrup, honey,..), but you should definitely try with Nutella, our hazelnut flavoured equivalent of peanut butter!
You can also try to cook salted crêpes by removing sugar in the recipe and using whole wheat flour instead of regular flour. You can then add ham, onions and cheese on it.
Have a good meal!
